How to remove the backcover with an plastic opening tool
Disassemble Battery Cover / Disassemble Guide / Remove cover
(If you try this, you do it 100% on your own risk!)
It is important that you use a plastic opening tool, or anything plastic, must be relatively sharp. Any other material may damage your device.
Remove the small area from the back than bends and creeks when subjected to light pressure (that cheap feel that the backcover gives from stock).
What I first tried was to insert some layers (Scotch tape) on top of the battery. But I removed that again - and don't recommend that anymore, because of the heat from the battery. Instead put some lubricant (just very very little, do not overdo it) on the plastic connectors and the creaks will be gone. Plastic squeaks when two surfaces rub against each other and cause friction. To prevent the squeak, prevent the friction.
Here the D803 service manual in PDF:
If you have a backcover that is really hard to get off (I had 2 LG G2s, and they where different, one where easy to get the backcover off, while the other was hard! - so they are not all the same!) then use the blue tool I show in the video, it really makes it much easier. But if you can get a fingernail under somewhere around the edge, then you can also try that. (but I can't on mine, it's really close - no gabs).
Inside the backcover, you will find a label with the IMEI and Serial number (if someone missed the Serial number, because off lost box)
